Background<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure (MESPI) through Fostering and Leveraging Opportunities for Water Security Program (FLOWS), financed by the World Bank credit (credit number 6636-XK), offers the opportunity to apply for grants for investments in order to seek creative proposals to ensure and promote the rational and sustainable use of water in the Morava e Binces basin.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Program Objective<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The objective of the Water Stewardship Grant Program (WSGP) is to promote sustainable natural resource management, increase citizens\u2019 environmental awareness, and encourage environmental actions that address environmental challenges at a local level. Through this pilot action will start the implementation of activities to achieve tangible investments in water security, agri-environmental measures, and demand management that all support to sustain resources, improve service delivery, and build resilience in the system. This will be done through awareness raising and investment grants.<\/p>\n

Access and opportunities to apply for these small Grants will have: 1) Community groups, 2) Civil society organizations, 3) Individuals and Businesses operating in the sub-basin of Morava e Binces.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All interested applicants in accordance with this CfP of WSGP all eligible to apply with projects in priority and focused areas based on vulnerability to climate changes, through the following criteria:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. To promote, test and demonstrate innovative practices to increase water security, leading to improved resilience to drought and flood;<\/li>\n
  2. To enhance sustainable management of natural resources that will increase carbon sequestration potential of in the project area; and<\/li>\n
  3. To raise awareness about water security and environmental protection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
