As part of its support to civil society organizations, the FLOWS project has funded initiatives that promote sustainable water resource management and raise public awareness. One notable example is the work of the NGO PLANNING GREEN, which has implemented an integrated approach in the municipalities of Gjilan, Viti, and Kamenica.
Through educational lectures in schools, study visits to water treatment plants, and awareness campaigns, the project has directly contributed to educating youth and local communities. Activities also included cleaning areas along the Krivareka River, as well as installing cameras for continuous monitoring in the urban area of Kamenica.
This initiative has strengthened cooperation between institutions and the public, contributing to pollution reduction and improved environmental sustainability.
