FLOWS has initiated the implementation of the Works Contract for Hidromorava Package 2, which includes the expansion of the Water Treatment Plant in Letnicë and the water supply network in Kamenica.
At the joint meeting held at RWC Hidromorava, the official handover of the construction site took place, marking the start of the contract’s implementation and ensuring transparency and professional management of the process. All key parties —FLOWS project as fund implementer, RWC “Hidromorava” as the beneficiary, the supervision company, as well as the main contractor Eren Insaat & AK JV and JV Hydro Ingenieure & iC Consulenten — agreed on the work plan and flow of activities.
The Water Treatment Plant in Letnicë and the expansion of the Kamenica water supply network are vital for providing drinking water to thousands of residents in the Anamorava region. Their renovation and expansion represent a highly strategic project for implementing the water policies of the Republic of Kosovo.
The contract will deliver the construction of a new station for the filtration and sedimentation of untreated water, the installation of a new reservoir with a capacity of 1,700 m³, the installation of modern systems for chlorination, disinfection, and automatic monitoring, and the development of a closed infrastructure for the management of wastewater and sludge.
The Government of Kosovo has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the FLOWS Project and is applying part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction Works for the Expansion of Water Treatment Capacities in Letnicë, Viti Municipality.
The construction period is twelve months.
