MALSIA FOODS L.L.C. has aimed to empower the community of Village Vriqec through integrated solutions for sustainable water management in agriculture and is implementing an integrated project with the objective of strengthening sustainable water management in agriculture while empowering the local farming community through practical, efficient, and environmentally friendly solutions.
This project, made possible through a grant from the FLOWS program, directly contributes to improving conditions for agricultural production, protecting natural resources, and increasing the economic sustainability of the local community.

Project Objectives
1. Infrastructure Development
Improving water infrastructure in Village Vriqec, including the construction of water storage facilities, with the aim of increasing water availability for agriculture during dry periods.
2. Agri-Environmental Measures
Implementing agri-environmental measures aimed at reducing soil erosion, improving soil health, and preventing agricultural runoff, thereby contributing to the protection of water quality in nearby water bodies.
3. Community Engagement
Actively involving local farmers and raising awareness of the importance of sustainable water management in agriculture through cooperation and the application of good practices on the ground.

Key Activities
Construction of a water storage reservoir with dimensions 8m x 4m x 1.56m and a total capacity of 50 m³, including supporting infrastructure and connection to the main water supply system.
Purchase and installation of a manure mixer (cow manure) for the existing storage facility, aimed at preventing agricultural runoff and protecting the environment.
Planting of 150 fruit trees to reduce soil erosion, particularly in sloped areas.
Construction of one drinking water station for livestock, serving farmers who graze cattle freely over an area of approximately 100 hectares.
Hiring of two (2) new employees, contributing to local economic development and strengthening community capacities.

Expected Results
Increased water availability for farms, existing crops, and newly planted trees during dry seasons.
Reduced pollution and agricultural runoff from livestock manure, improving water quality and protecting the environment.
Reduced soil erosion through tree planting and terrain stabilization.
Improved livestock health and increased productivity through regular access to drinking water.
Increased community satisfaction and a positive economic impact at the local level.
